The Ultimate Perth Wedding Music FAQ

  • To ensure you secure your preferred date, we recommend booking 12 to 18 months in advance. As a boutique service with a small, specialised team (Dylan, Daniel, Jarrod, and Kelly), our calendar fills up quickly, especially for peak Saturday dates in the Swan Valley and Margaret River regions. However, feel free to reach out for last-minute enquiries as we occasionally have mid-week or off-season availability.

  • Your peace of mind is our priority. Majestic Wedding DJs operates as a team; in the rare event of an emergency or illness, we have a "fail-safe" system where one of our other professional DJs can step in. Because we maintain a shared planning document for your wedding, the backup DJ will have full access to your music preferences, run-sheet, and "must-play" list to ensure a seamless transition.

  • DJ-Only Package: Focuses entirely on the music and dance floor energy. This is ideal if you have a friend or family member handling the formalities. It includes nightclub-standard audio equipment and professional dance floor lighting.

    DJ+MC Package: This is our most popular "full-service" option. Your DJ also acts as the Master of Ceremonies, coordinating with your venue staff, introducing speakers, managing the timeline, and making all necessary announcements to keep the night flowing smoothly.

  • Yes! While we are based in Perth, we regularly travel to Dunsborough, Margaret River, and the South West. For weddings more than an hour outside of the Perth metro area, a modest travel and/or accommodation fee may apply. We provide an all-inclusive quote upfront so there are no hidden costs.

  • Absolutely. We believe your wedding should sound like you. Upon booking, we provide a music planning document where you can list your "Must-Plays," "Play if there’s time," and "Do Not Play" tracks. We also encourage you to list your favorite genres and decades so we can tailor the vibe to your specific tastes.

  • We are happy to take requests from your guests, provided they align with the "vibe" you’ve requested. Our DJs are experts at "reading the room"—if a guest requests a song that might kill the dance floor momentum, we’ll use our professional judgment to find a better time to play it or find a similar track that keeps the energy high.

  • Yes, we supply a complete professional setup. This includes nightclub-standard speakers (PA systems), DJ mixers, wireless microphones for speeches, and a T-bar lighting rig for the dance floor. All of our equipment is high-end to ensure crystal-clear sound for both your intimate speeches and the high-energy dancing.

  • We do not charge for setup or pack-down time. Our DJs arrive at the venue well before your scheduled start time to ensure everything is tested and ready to go before the first guest walks through the door. You only pay for the hours of performance/entertainment.
