Why You Should Book Your Wedding DJ Early

Weddings. They are a once in a lifetime event which end up being the biggest and most intricate you have ever planned. There are items to purchase, people to hire, food to choose, music to review and more. The scary part is, you're not the only one getting married on your chosen date. Chances have it there will be close to 100 other weddings on the same day.

According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, there were 123,244 marriages recorded in 2012

With the number of marriages increasing each year, its easy to see why the scramble to get the best photographer, DJ, venue, celebrant and other wedding items are getting more and more competitive.

The total amount of marriages in Australia has skyrocketed in the past 12 years. With an average of 2000 weddings per week, you can see why there is a lot of competition out there. Perth, Western Australia, experiences an average of 12,000 marriages per year with peak season landing in the summer months.

So what should you do?

  1. Book your Venue first, then in the same month, book your DJ and other main services (Photographer, Celebrant and Caterer).
  2. Always check at least 6 months in advance for busy summer periods.
  3. If you're late, check if there have been any cancellations with the DJ's you have previously contacted.

At Majestic Wedding DJ's, we know Perth has a crazy wedding season in the beautiful summer months. Which is why we recommend you book early to avoid disappointment.
